Privacy policy

We keep data collection to a minimum. This page explains what we store, why, who processes it for us, and for how long.

What we collect

  • Account email: if you buy or sign in, we store your email address to give you access.
  • Practice records: which questions you've been shown (so paid sets don't repeat them) and your scores.
  • Answers you submit for AI feedback: stored with the feedback so you and we can see what was sent. Please don't include other people's personal details.
  • Usage analytics: only with your consent, page visits recorded with a random visitor ID kept in your browser, the page, the referrer and your browser's user-agent. Decline in the cookie banner and nothing is recorded.
  • Enquiries: if you contact us, your name, email and message.
  • Partner code: if you arrive through a partner link, the code is kept in a cookie for up to 30 days so a purchase can be credited to them.
  • Checkout: payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your card details. If you start a checkout and don't finish, we may send one reminder email to the address you entered, and never more than one.

Who processes your data

  • Neon: our database.
  • Vercel: hosting.
  • Stripe: payments.
  • Resend: sign-in links, the checkout reminder and replies to enquiries.
  • Anthropic: generates AI feedback from the answer you submit and the exercise it relates to.
  • Google Analytics: only if you accept analytics cookies and only where it is enabled.

How long we keep it

Account and practice data is kept while your account is active. Analytics and enquiries are kept for up to 24 months. You can ask us to delete your account and everything linked to it at any time.

Do we sell your data?

No. We don't sell personal information or use it for advertising.

Your rights

UK data protection law gives you the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent to analytics at any time. Send a request through the contact form. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
