Numeracy practice

The numeracy part of the Scenario-Based Test checks the everyday maths of the job: counting a roll, working out a prisoner's canteen balance, adding up shift times, and percentages. The sums are not hard, but the clock is tight, so practise doing them quickly and accurately.
Reported format: about 20 questions in up to 15 minutes on roll counts, money, times and percentages. HMPPS says the test checks basic numeracy. Formats and timings can change between campaigns, so always check your own invitation.
